If you owe the State of Iowa past-due fines and court costs, the State of Iowa will place a hold on your vehicle registration(s). Once these fines are paid in full, the hold will be lifted.
However, this office can help in obtaining those vehicle registrations if payment in full is not achievable. Once entering into a payment plan or the payment plan is current, this office can submit a temporary registration lift to the Treasurer’s Office.
