With spring here in full force, many species of wildflowers are starting to bloom. Join Calkins Nature Area staff members at the Hardin City Woodland for the annual Wildflower Walk this Saturday, April 22nd. The walk will start at 9 am and end at 11 am. Hardin County Conservation and former Ellsworth conservation technology instructor, Nancy Slife, will be hosting the event.

2017 Calkins Summer Day Camp
2017 Calkins Summer Day Camps will be on June 5th.
Cost of camp is $25 per camper and registration is required. Don't delay because space fills up fast.
Caterpillar Day Camp (K-1st): June 5-9 from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
Sunfish Day Camp (2nd-3rd): June 12-16 from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
Mallary Day Camp (4th-5th): June 19-23 from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
If your child attends summer camp, he or she will be immersed in Iowa’s native prairie, forest, and wetland environments and we will spend as much time in the great outdoors as possible. There will be many hikes, crafts, nature-themed games and we may even be in the water one day.
