Monarch Tagging at Calkins Nature Area

Hardin County Conservation will be hosting the annual Monarch Butterfly Tagging event, at Calkins Nature Area on Wednesday, September 19th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Bring the family out to learn about monarch butterflies and get the opportunity to catch, tag, and release your own monarch to send it on its migration journey. There is NO preregistration for this event, it is open to all ages, and it is FREE of charge. Conservation has purchased 200 tags this year because participation has been so high the past couple of years. Bring your friends, family, and anyone else you know to this wonderful event.
