Summer Day Camps
Every year in June, Calkins Nature Area hosts three separate weeklong day camps that give kids the opportunity to unplug and immerse themselves in a week of experiencing nature. The best part is - the campers don’t even realize they are learning because they are too busy having fun!
Time for picture break above during of the many nature hikes during day camps. One of the main objectives of our day camps is to get kids unplugged and immersed in nature.
Camp activities include a wide variety of nature-themed games, crafts, wilderness skills and nature exploration hikes, to name but a few.
