Traveling Programs

Another service that Hardin County Conservation provides to our communities is traveling environmental education programs. Each year the Calkins Nature Area staff gives dozens of talks at schools, retirement homes and various community groups. We strive to make our programs interesting for all ages and interactive. We love to bring live critters with us when we can. We can also assist groups with prairie and tree planting demonstrations. These programs are performed free of charge as long as they are in Hardin County.

Contact Calkins Nature Area staff at 641-648-9878 or email Chris Barber to schedule a program for your school or community group.
